My sister and her husband (who are both safe, having fled to Florida when Katrina hit. My sister is now at home in Massachusetts. Due to being 2 months pregnant, her doctor recommended that she stay as far away from Miss. as possible. She lived on Lorraine Ave. in the Belle Rose development. They lost their home and all their belongings after having just moved to Pass Christian 4 months ago from Massachusetts.
My sister's husband is a Navy Seebee stationed in Gulfport.
